WHAT IS COLOUR ANALYSIS?

Colour analysis is the art of dividing colour groups into seasons. Rooted in styling, colour analysis works on the idea that we should match what we are in what we wear. And what suits us best, are the colours that most closely align with our colouring and undertone.

It can help us make better style choices and determine what colours pair well together, looking at three aspects: hue (warm or cool), chroma (bright or muted) and value (light and dark).

We can apply this to personal styling - fashion, make up and hair - but we can also apply these principles to interior design and home decor.

Often, we are drawn to colours that match our own colour season, but the beauty of interior design, is we’re not limited to our own season.

Our philosophy at The Colour Season Studio is that you can choose any season you like when designing your home, the key is to stick to one season for each space.

Discover the 12 colour seasons below in our virtual studio and let us welcome you to the art of colour.
